Diploma of Pharmacy

A Diploma of Pharmacy (abbreviated as D. Pharm or D. Pharm) is an Diploma Program in the field of pharmacy. The Diploma is the basic prerequisite for registration to practice as a pharmacist in India and its about understanding the properties and impacts of medicines and developing the skills required to counsel patients about their use.
The Diploma of Pharmacy is popularly known as D-Pharm in India. It is a two-year program with annual schemes.
Colleges imparting pharmaceutical education (D.Pharm, B.Pharm or M.Pharm) must be approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) or Pharmacy Council Of India (PCI).

The D.Pharm is one of the popular job oriented course among the science students after class 12th. This course provides a large no. of job opportunities in both the public and private sector.

Notes:

It is mandatory to pass in individual subjects – English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics.
As per Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) notification, candidates from open school are also Eligible for admission to D.Pharm. and D.Pharm courses.
